Walk for Parkinson's: Bristol Blaise Castle

Community Spirit

The June 15th Walk for Parkinson’s at Blaise Castle was a wonderful day and a testament to community spirit, resilience, and the collective drive to make a difference.

The day began with a blustery and rainy morning that had many of us peeking out from under umbrellas, hoping for a break in the clouds. As if on cue, just before the walk was scheduled to start, the skies cleared, revealing a beautiful day that perfectly set the stage for what was to come.

Hundreds of participants gathered at Blaise Castle, united by a common cause: raising funds for Parkinson’s UK. Their mission, “Together we will find a cure and improve life for the Parkinson's community,” resonated deeply with everyone present.

Furry Friends

One of the most delightful aspects of the day was the presence of our four-legged friends. The event was dog-friendly, and I can confidently say that the dogs truly stole the show.

The walk offered two routes, catering to various levels of ability. The shorter, one-mile route was fully accessible, ensuring that everyone, regardless of mobility, could participate. The longer, six-mile route presented a more challenging adventure, weaving through the picturesque landscapes of Blaise Castle.

To everyone who participated, supported, and donated, thank you. Together, we are making strides towards a brighter future for the Parkinson’s community. Here’s to many more beautiful days like this, filled with hope, determination, and the unwavering belief that together, we will find a cure.
