Walk of Hope: Mount Edgcumbe
Community Spirit
The September 28th Walk of Hope for Brain Tumour Research at Mount Edgcumbe was a wonderful day and a testament to community spirit, resilience, and the collective drive to make a difference.
The week leading up to the event threatened torrential rain and wind, but the day of the walk proved to warm and still.
Participants gathered at the Cremyl gates, united by a common cause: raising funds for Brain Tumour Research. Their mission, “To increase the UK investment in brain tumour research,” resonated deeply with everyone present.
Furry Friends
One of the most delightful aspects of the day was the presence of our four-legged friends. The event was dog-friendly, and I can confidently say that the dogs truly stole the show.
The walk offered a five-kilometre route weaving through the picturesque landscapes of Mount Edgcumbe, with views over Plymouth Sound, and out towards the English Channel.
To everyone who participated, supported, and donated, thank you. Together, we are making strides towards a brighter future for the Brain Tumour community. Here’s to many more beautiful days like this, filled with hope, determination, and the unwavering belief that together, we will find a cure.
