Are you insured?
Our public liability insurance policy covers up to £1,000,000. If you require a greater amount, this can be arranged.
What about adverse weather conditions?
The drones that we fly can handle moderate winds, but rain is a no-go.
Due to the wildly unpredictable weather that Great Britain is blessed with, cancellations are possible. If the weather report shows heavy winds or a significant chance of rain, then we will get in touch to reschedule your appointment.
Can I watch you fly?
Of course! After a short safety brief, we’ll explain the process, and go through it play by play.
I have a busy road, an airport, powerlines, and a military installation nearby, can you still fly?
Get in touch, and we will see what we can do. Some locations aren’t workable, but you’d be surprised what can be achieved, whilst complying with the rules and regulations.
Are there any restrictions on how I can use the photos / videos?
You are free to use the images in any way you see fit, whether it’s a striking framed print in your home, or displayed on your website to advertise your business.
The only restriction is that you can’t use any images or footage in a manner that would imply that you created them. This doesn’t mean you need to credit TMW Drone Photography if you use the images on an advertisement, but you wouldn’t be able to include them in a photography portfolio, for example, without providing credit.
I changed my mind, what’s your cancellation policy?
If you cancel at least 72 hours in advance, your deposit will be refunded in full.
If you cancel, as opposed to reschedule, with less than 72 hours’ notice, then unfortunately your deposit is non-refundable.
How long does the process take?
This varies with the package you have chosen, but generally the service takes around an hour, from arrival to departure.
Once the images and/or footage have been captured, editing begins, and this is a much more time-consuming process.
Usually, you’ll get your preview images back in one to two weeks, with any printed items following a week or two afterwards.
Do I need to be present onsite during filming?
That is entirely up to you. As long as our drone pilot can gain access to the site, then they can proceed with the flight.
If you are not going to be onsite, a member of our team will contact you to gather some details to ensure the shoot goes as smoothly as possible.
What about my neighbours?
There is some legal ambiguity at the intersection of drone use, privacy laws, and trespass laws.
We generally advise you to inform any nearby neighbours of your upcoming drone photography session, to pre-empt any potential issues.
How will the files / prints etc be delivered?
All digital files are sent securely, by combining encryption with the user-friendly file sharing service, WeTransfer.
For physical goods, these are fulfilled through our printing partner, NPhoto.
