Minox 35 GT

Purportedly the world’s smallest 35mm camera. Solid build, a tiny package, auto exposure, and pleasing optics.

Lens: Minox Color-Minotar 35mm f/2.8

Film speed settings: 25-1600 ISO, Set Manually

Film Format: 35mm

Shutter: 30 to 1/500 sec

Aperture: f/2.8 to f/16

Focus: Manual

Battery: 4LR43

Flash: Hot shoe

Year: 1981 - Onwards

Country: German

The good:

·         For a 45-year-old camera, it is in remarkably good condition.

·         Shutter fires well, and tested exposures reveal no timing issues.

·         Focus is accurate.

·         Film transport is smooth.

·         Flash works as expected.

The less good:

·         The lens itself has a few specs of dust, but nothing that is noticeable in the final images (see attached sample photos)

·         Minor wear and tear.

·         The original 5.6v PX27 batteries are no longer available but can be substituted with a 4LR43 6v. As the voltage is a little different, setting the camera to 1 – 2 stops above the box speed of the film is advised.
