Ricoh AF-35 35mm

£47.99
sold out
  • Lens: Color Rikenon 38mm f/2.8 (4 elements in 3 groups)

  • Film speed settings: 25-1000 ISO, set manually

  • Shutter: 1/8 to 1/500 sec

  • Aperture: f/2.8 to f/16

  • Film Winding: Automatic

  • Flash: Built-in

  • Weight: 330g

  • Year: 1981 - 1987

The good:

  • Viewfinder and lens appears clear and good condition

  • Electronics work well, auto focus is good, flash works, and test shots were exposed appropriately

  • The ability to manually set film speed is handy, as you can use a wider range of film, and even push or pull.

  • AA batteries work just fine, so no fumbling around for unusual batteries.

The less good:

  • After I run a roll of film through it, the little foam light seal around the film viewing window in the back became loose, leading to some light leaks. I've re-seated and re-glued it, which should sort that problem. That being said, I have had that issue with other similar cameras, and tend to put a piece of electrical tape over the window, and just remember which film stock is in which camera.

  • It's a 40 year old camera, so there's the expected wear and tear on the casing.
